I'm not a facebook fan. Don't have a personal page, and won't get one. However, I need opinions on whether it would be worth it to get one for the league for more potential interest?

Yes it would be totally worth it, and you should come to e dark side... I think it would be worth it for e exposure and networking. Being on a forum like this is a bit like yelling into the wilderness, at least on Facebook you're whispering in a crowded room.

On that note, I'd be willing to set up and manage the Facebook page if you want. But to get much exposure we'll need to find people to follow it. A posting at NAF would probably help, I can do all of that if you want. just let me know if there is a consensus that it's a good sides and I'll get er dun.

Well, I just opened a community page for the league, but it's gonna take me some time to get efficient with it. Maybe just a normal facebook account would be better?? Kinda lost.
I've been with the NAF for 4 years, and the league is in there, but every time I try to link it to anything, it tells me I'm not registered. I think Metalhed already linked the league to NAF somehow.

If you (as in you personally) don't have a Facebook page it may not work. I believe a page like that needs to have at least one admin authorized to make changes and that admin needs to be a Facebook member with a page. You can also assign others to be admins. The whole key to Facebook is the linking and sharing of information, the larger your friends list the quicker announcement spreads.
You need to post a link to the Facebook page you made for anybody to begin finding it.
Can I suggest a useful links thread for the blog? That way everybody can post links to all of the good stuff on the Internet and save people form having to track it down themselves. A sticky post at theft of a related thread that can be added to would be great.
The easier you make it for new people to feel a part of the group the better. I keep asking where to find certain things and tend to space them by the time I get to a computer. It would be great to have a place to find all of the links together and pursue them at will. For instance NAF and all of that, make it easy.

Just went looking at Facebook, I don't think I would have set it up as a "community" page. Don't think that's the best fit for the group, and Imhave never managed one of those pages. Looks like that is for causes and community groups as opposed to leagues and organizations. If I was looking for a Blood Bowl league I have to say I wouldn't look there.

Go ahead and delete when you get a chance, let me know here when you do, and I'll go in and set up a new page. Once that is done, I'll place a link in this thread, and send out a message for Facebookers to like the page. At first it may be just Gavin and I but I can link it to NAF and all of that.

Oh and I joined NAF, I'll see if I can figure out how to get a link working on that site as well. Anybody up for a tournament we could play right before New Years? We couldmlistmit on Facebook and NAF and see,if we can pick up some more coaches.

I really appreciate the help slidedog. You are decades ahead of me on the Facebook structure. So I want to say Thank you for helping with this. I'm at work, but I can have it deleted by 630 tonight.
I've been with the NAF for 4 years now and just got my first set of block dice yesterday. I guess the other 3 sets are out there somewhere. Lol.
Not sure if we could get a tourney together by New Years. My son gets leave for Xmas week, so that whole week would be out for me. I was planning a big 2 day tourney for March or April.
If we could get 2 more coaches signed up for the season, we could start it.

Excellent! Thank you again slidedog. Hope GW doesn't get cranky about the box art. Not sure how that works. All I ask is that we funnel everyone to the forums somehow for sign up. That way I have numbers and can keep track of everyone.
