We need to stay on track during this event. If we see that you won’t finish in the allotted time, you will go on a timer. If you don't finish at the end of the allotted time period, then the game is decided on score with SPP points, as a tie breaker.
There is no Pre-registration. Please be prompt and show up at 9:00am on Sunday.
Things To Bring:
-Blood Bowl Board, we might have some to use if you don't have one
-Your Blood Bowl Team (fully painted for a Bonus!)
-4 copies of your team’s roster, one for the Event Coordinators, 3 for your opponents
-GW or NAF Block Dice, D8, D6s
-Copy of the LRB 6.0 Competition Rules
Team Builds: Any official team in the LRB 6.0 is welcome (including the 3 new teams.) 1.1 mil team build (players, rerolls, Asst Coaches, Cheerleaders, fan factor, all inducements EXCEPT Wizards allowed)
No Star Players.
Additional Skills:
Players will not gain skills with SPPs. Before the tournament begins you will choose one of the three Skill packages and assign skills to your players. These will be the only additional skills your team will have for the tournament. Please make a note on all your rosters as to what package you choose. No player may be given more than one additional skill/upgrade. BUT, keep track of all SPPs earned during your matches as they could be used as a tie breaker.
Skill Packages:
Package A: (5 normal skill rolls)
You may give 5 different players on your team one skill they could normally obtain on a regular skill roll (non-doubles).
Package B: (1 double and 3 normal)
You may give 1 player on your team a skill they could obtain on a doubles roll. As well as giving 3 other players’ skills they could obtain on normal skill rolls.
Package C: (10 roll, and 1 normal)
You may treat one player on your team as if they rolled a 10 on their skill roll (+MV/+AV), as well as giving 1 other players skills they could obtain on a normal roll.
Tournament Rules:
You will get 3 games over the course of one day, which will include 1 round of random pairing, followed by 2 rounds of Swiss pairing. (If we don't have enough players for Swiss, then we will go to Round Robin)
Weather will be rolled for by Event Coordinators at the beginning of each round. The weather result will apply to everyone’s games, for the whole game. We will use the weather table in LRB 6.0
The Kickoff table in the LRB 6.0 will be used.
Tournament will be a resurrection style tournament. So any injuries your team suffers will not carry over to the next game, and any SPPs they earn will not count, BUT we need you to keep track of them in case we have a Tie and need to break it. The roster you start the tournament with will be the same for each round you play.
Illegal Procedure:
In the spirit of good sportsmanship Illegal Procedures will not be called or enforced, but respectful chiding is fine.
4-minute Timers:
No timers will be used, but understand we will have to stay on schedule. Use your turns quickly or you will likely lose them to the clock. Slowing the game and delaying your turns when in the lead will be considered a sportsmanship violation and could earn you a Yellow card, 2 yellows make a Red and you’re out for the day.
Dice: Opponents should use their own NAF block dice and damage dice.
Tournament Scoring: Bonuses: CAS will only count if caused by a block.
Points per game Kept it close = (lost by 1) 2pts
Win = 55 pts
Tie = 30 pts
Loss = 10 pts
Won by 2 or more TDs +2pts
Won by 3 or more TDs +5pts
Caused 1 more CAS than the opponent +2 pts
Caused 2 more CAS than the opponent +5pts
Note on Tiebreakers:
The Scoring system has been adjusted to hopefully get the most accurate representation of how everyone has performed. But no matter what is done there will be ties in the standings. This will be the order ties are broken in.
1. Winning Percentage
2. Head to Head record
3. Net TDs plus Net CAS
4. Total TDs plus Total CAS
If it is still a tie at that point, the tournament organizer will use his best judgment in finding a way to break the tie.
Painting:
We HOPE that all teams meet the minimum painted guidelines. If not, not a big deal, but it couldn't hurt. To be considered fully painted, your teams should have 3 colors on them and have had some attempt at making them appear finished. Painted vs. not painted will be decided at the discretion of the Event Coordinators. (I would paint my team)
Also, we will only accept reasonable proxies for models. This means you can't get a stick out of the parking lot and say "this is a Treeman", that is not going to work. Also, all models must be numbered in some way, shape, or form for easy identification by BOTH players, and the numbers must match your roster numbering. All fully painted teams, as judged by the coordinators will receive an extra re-roll for the duration of the tournament.
Sportsmanship:
We are here for the fun of the game. DONT BE A DOUCHE!!! Sportsmanship is not encouraged from the coaches it is required! To make sure that everyone who attends will have fun the Event Coordinators will issue a yellow card warning to anyone who is taking away from the fun environment we are looking for. If the behavior continues a red card will be issued and you will be asked to leave the tournament. No Refunds!
DONT BE A DOUCHE…
An important note on sportsmanship: Fouling 16 turns in a row and running up the score is not poor sportsmanship. But gloating and ridiculing your opponent while doing so is. Remember we are all here to have a good time. Helping your opponent enjoy Blood Bowl so they will come back and play again is the name of the game and the goal of this tournament.
Awards:
We have inexpensive prizes selected for the winners. We will have door prizes throughout the day as well.
